Underwater Photography (UwP) magazine issue 93 is now available to download. The November December issue features articles about the Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest results, shark photography and ramblings in the UK’s South West. Reviewed equipment includes the Cinebags CB70, Nauticam NA-GX85, i-Divesite Symbiosis and the Canon 8-15mm EF lens.
Last chance to enter the National Geographic Photographer of the Year contest
Final entries into the National Geographic Photographer of the Year 2016 competition will be accepted until 12pm ET tomorrow (November 4). There are four categories (animal portraits, landscape, action, and environmental issues) that will have three (3) winners each. Grand Prize is a 10-day trip for two to the Galapagos Islands.

Adobe announces updates at MAX convention
Adobe are currently hosting their annual MAX convention in the San Diego Convention Center. The event is traditionally the time when Adobe announces updates to its existing products, and gives a taste of the things the company are working on for the future. They have announced updates to the Creative Cloud, including Photoshop CC and Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC.
Olympus announces OM-D E-M1 Mark II
Olympus has announced details of their OM-D E-M1 Mark II mirrorless camera. It features a 20.4 MP sensor with 121 on chip phase and contrast AF sensors. Image processing is via a new TruePic VIII Image Processor and its native ISO range is up to 6400. It has 5 axis image stabilization in both still and video modes, with the latter being available at full 4K resolution at 24p. Olympus will offer a housing for the camera too.
Using exploding jellyfish populations to make biodegradable diapers
Overfishing of commercial fish stocks and removal of top predators worldwide have caused the populations of jellyfish worldwide to skyrocket. Jellyfish blooms can be problematic for a number of reasons including clogging intake valves and taking over swimming areas. Scientists believe we will see jellyfish blooms more and more in coming years. Now one startup has come up with a product to make use of the overabundant jellies, diapers.
Inon announces mount base for Sony Action Cam
Inon has announced its UWH1 SD Mount base for use with the Sony 4K FDR-X3000 action camera in its MPK-UWH1 housing. This allows the use of Inon’s SD Semi Fisheye Conversion (UFL-G140) and SD Wide Close-up (UCL-G165) lenses with the camera. The base is supplied with an SD Mount Base that allows arms, handles and tripods to be attached.
