The British Society of Underwater Photographers invites entries for its third International Focus On competition which is free to enter and open to all underwater photographers. There is no theme although the image must have been taken in an open water environment. Images that have finished first, second or third in previous national or international competitions will not be accepted this year.
Each photographer can submit one picture via the BSoUP website (www.bsoup.org/competitions) before Tuesday 14 August 2007 at 22:00:00 BST. Please note that the maximum image size is 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high with a file size no greater than 500KB. Uploading your image takes just a few seconds. There is no excuse not to get involved.
Uniquely, the images in this competition will be judged by votes of the entire audience of experienced underwater photographers at the Society’s meeting on 15th August. The winner will succeed Wetpixel’s Mike Veitch and Martyn Tomcik to receive the BSoUP International Focus On trophy and the kudos of knowing that their image was voted for by their peers. There are no big prizes. This is just an informal way to see how your photo stacks up against those of your peers.
