Dell has announced a 32-inch 8K monitor with 33.2MP of resolution and native compatibility with both sRGB and AdobeRGB color spaces at the CES Show in Las Vegas.
Sized at 7680 x 4320 pixels at 10-bits, the UP3218K monitor offers the same resolution as four 4K monitors and also offers 1.07 billion colors. Thinly packaged into 9.7mm bezel it has two Displayport 1.3 ports and four USB 3.0 ports.
Practically, at this time there are no graphics cards available that can drive this monitor, and as it will be priced at $4999.99 when it ships in March it is unlikely to appeal to everyone. Of course, the features developed with trickle down to other monitors in Dell’s range.
