Jennifer Penner of New Media Soup posted this stunning wide-angle image entitled “Fish Fireworks” onto the Wetpixel Facebook group. She took it at Cannibal Rock, Horseshoe Bay on a recent first trip to Komodo aboard the Damai II. She says:
“Glassy sweepers can be found covering colorful bommies on this dive site. This particular bommie was relatively deep, approximately 75-80’, and the current was running. I increased my ISO to 320 and my shutter speed to 1/250, while maintaining aperture at f/9, to attempt to capture a frame that stopped the action of the swimming fish. Strobes at 3/4 power.”
Gear used: Canon 5D MKIII in Nauticam housing with Sigma 15mm FE lens plus Kenko 1.4 teleconverter behind Zen dome port and Sea&Sea YS250 strobes.
