The Wetpixel Photo of the Week (POTW) contest will test your both your underwater photography skills and image-manipulation skills. If you do more to your image than basic color/contrast adjustments and backscatter removal, please note it in your comments. Submitted images may be used and published by Wetpixel LLC to announce and promote Wetpixel photo contests.
Subscribe to an RSS feed of the winning POTW entries! For the tech-savvy, you can embed the current Picture of the Week (or your own submissions) into your webpage or Wordpress blog. If you'd like to compete in larger competitions, be sure to check out our annual international photo competition.
You are not currently logged in. Only members can enter competitions, but everyone can vote. Public votes don't count as much as registered member votes, so we encourage you to log in before voting.
To enter a photo, please log in or register for membership (it's free!).
Be sure to read the rules and guidelines before participating.

RULES/GUIDELINES:
- Images must be taken underwater with a digital or film camera.
- Images must have been taken by you, the photographer, and you must own the copyright.
- Images must be suitable for all audiences. No wildlife harrassment.
- Images that have placed 1st in a previous POTW contest are ineligible for reentry.
- Use of image editing software is encouraged, with the goal of striving for better quality and higher realism.
- Uploaded photos will be automatically resized to 640 pixels in the longest dimension. Your image will look the best if you submit either a high-quality, 640-pixel image, or an image that is significantly larger.
- Each POTW contest will last for two weeks: a week of submissions, and a week of voting.
- If you need to delete an entry, you need to do two things: first, leave a comment on the actual entry you want deleted, and second, leave us a message using our contact form and include your entry's URL. An administrator will delete the image.
- Please vote. This won't work if you don't help us vote. :)
- Images in open competitions are displayed in the order uploaded.
- Each member can upload a maximum of two photos per contest.
- You can embed POTW results into your own webpage!
