Wetpixel Photo of the Week Contest

RULES/GUIDELINES:

1. Images must be taken underwater with a digital or film camera.
2. Images must have been taken by you, the photographer, and you must own the copyright.
3. Images must be suitable for all audiences. No wildlife harrassment.
4. Images that have placed 1st in a previous POTW contest are ineligible for reentry.
5. Use of image editing software is encouraged, with the goal of striving for better quality and higher realism.
6. Uploaded photos will be automatically resized to 640 pixels in the longest dimension. Your image will look the best if you submit either a high-quality, 640-pixel image, or an image that is significantly larger.
7. Each POTW contest will last for two weeks: a week of submissions, and a week of voting.
8. If you need to delete an entry, you need to do two things: first, leave a comment on the actual entry you want deleted, and second, leave us a message using our contact form and include your entry's URL. An administrator will delete the image.
9. Please vote. This won't work if you don't help us vote. :)
10. Images in open competitions are displayed in the order uploaded.
11. Each member can upload a maximum of two photos per contest.
12. You can embed POTW results into your own webpage!

Special thanks to Ikelite Underwater Systems and the Solmar V Liveaboard Dive Vessel for their generous sponsorship of the POTW Each individual may only win one prize per calendar year. In addition, winners outside of the continental USA may be asked to subsidize shipping charges for prize delivery.

Eligible POTWs for the Solmar V prize are winners of contests whose start and end dates are both in 2009. Prize excludes airfare, gratuities, park fee, nitrox, equipment rentals, and possible fuel surcharges.
