Hi all, I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch.

I work with Tourism Queensland and thought you might be interested in an amateur photography competition, which could see you win $10,000 worth of Queensland holiday vouchers! The only catch is you need to be an Ozzie to win.

Feel free to view the other entries at www.whereelse.com.au and enter your own favourite holiday shots of Queensland for your chance to win.

Thanks and good luck!

Chris, Tourism Queensland

This worries me...

It is intended that winning photographs will be used by Tourism Queensland to promote Queensland. All entrants grant to Tourism Queensland a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display the submitted photographs throughout the world in any media, including the right to sublicence to others at Tourism Queensland€™s discretion.

Just submitting the photograph means TQ can use it however they want.

Only if you enter. For some people, seeing their work in print is more than enough. I am guessing the David Doubilet won't be sending in any pics. I would guess for some fairly big majority of folks here, underwater photography doesn't pay the bills, just adds to them.

LOL it certainly doesn't pay my bills ... or even pay for my air

I do think those right are excessive, especially to apply to every entrant - not just winners. To me it reads they can take your photo and sell it on - they make money and you don't. If you have given them all the rights by entering you may not be eligible to enter that image in other contests.

I think contest are great ... but they should respect the photographer !
