Dome diffusers have come up a lot, but I can't find a broad coverage of the options, and I wonder if there are new opinions about how to best create a soft even light with these aging favorite strobes. I am looking for the best option for wide angle shots, something budget-friendly, i.e., worth paying for when I already have the standard flat diffusers from S&S. Any opinions from the more experiences would be much appreciated. I'm sure that I missed some, so please feel free to chime in with any others worth looking at. Thanks.
There are the white domes, which sometimes look cheaply made, or thick enough that they may lose too much light:

The local favorite, I gather, has a new more transparent version for wide angle:

The "air-sealed" dome is sexy, but doesn't diffuse as well(?), and positive buoyancy might be annoying?
