I purchased ULCS arms and clamps 32 years ago and am still using them.
With respect to low cost arms - some times you get what you pay for and some times you don't!
Clean and lube the threaded parts, change out the o rings periodically.

As others have stated - get your hands on them.
Of the choices you have mentioned; they are all equally first class housings!

There is a tool called a "Spot face"for this kind of situation. It goes in a drill press and will make a flat, circular area around the hole you are using. DON'T TRY to hand hold it your self!
See if you can get a small machine shop to do it for you..
