For Sale: Inon UWL-100 28AD wide-angle conversion lens

01 November 2014 - 03:03 PM

I am selling a brand new Inon UWL-100 28AD wide-angle conversion lens for $295 + shipping.

US prices are around $430. Lowest is $324.95 from divervision in Taiwan.

This uses a 28AD bayonet type mount, and transforms a 28mm lens into a super-wide.

Details about the lens here: http://www.inon.jp/p...0028ad/top.html

I have also a Adaptor Ring ADF M67 which will screw into a standard 67mm lens thread to allow mounting of a 28AD lens ($10). The combination works great on Nauticam Sony RX100 housing, but vignettes on Meikon Sony RX100 - which is why I am selling.

Inon AD + adapter vs. M67 wide-angle lens

29 September 2014 - 09:55 AM

I am considering a Inon wet wide-angle for Sony RX100 in Meikon housing.

I've read M67 Inon UWL-100 28AD + M67-ADF adapter is preferable to UWL-H100 28M67 because it makes it easier to change lenses on a dive. Does that combo UWL-100 28AD + M67-ADF has any disadvantage over a UWL-H100 28M67 screwed directly to the housing ?

Ikelite DS161 strobe with RX100 in Meikon

19 September 2014 - 10:53 AM

I have a Ikelite set-up with a DS161 strobe for Canon 5Dmk2. Last August, I experienced my first flooding, on the first dive of the trip :-)

As a back-up solution, I would like to be able to use the same strobe for a Sony RX100 in a Meikon housing. The Sony has no hot shoe. I've seen that Ike makes an optical slave converter (http://ikelite.com/a...-converter.html), but this is manual flash only, and I've read that the  Rx100 doesn't work well with strobes in manual as there is no manual flash mode.

From reading on this forum, I've seen folks using TTL on the RX100 with Sea & Sea and Inon strobes.

Is there is a TTL solution with the Ike strobe ?
