I changed over to Inon Z240 from Subtronic and have been very happy with their weight, reliability and performance. However, the tubes are tiny in comparison to the Subtronic's and now I've noticed with extended use they've started to darken. I compared them with those of a friend and found mine to be about half a stop less bright even though his iare not that clean. I guess that it is a fact of life that things don't last forever and I've certainly given them a lot of use. Anyone else noticed deterioration of the output over time?

I buy my own photographic kit. Diving equipment manufacturers and diving services suppliers get even-handed treatment from me whether they choose to advertise in the publications I write for or not. All the equipment I get on loan is returned as soon as it is finished with. Did you know you can now get Diver Mag as an iPad/Android app?

No, but we're only amateurs: my Z240's have only fired about 20,000 times!

No problem on the strobes themselves for me, but I had to replace all my ultralight clamps. I even broke one trying to take it off.
