Nice job on the B+W Great White. It was my favorite shot although I'm partial to B+W....and I wasn't a judge.Great layout/display of the Winner's image gallery , very well done !
Congratulations to the NCUPS' webmaster and the winners.

It's interesting that a creative shot took Best of Show. Not being critical in any way...just an observation....is this a first... a new trend?

Well thank you!
I created the winners galleries in Lightroom with the exception of the index page. It was really easy and I was so thrilled to be able to create a slick Flash gallery with no knowledge of Flash at all. My only beef is that Lightroom doesn't give you the option to add hyperlinks. That's why you have to use the back button to leave each category gallery and why I had to use Dreamweaver to create an html page for the index.
Regarding the Creative image winning Best of Show. All the first place winners were eligible for best of show. When the judges chose that image as their favorite there was some discussion, but the competition committee voted to let their choice stand. Not only did the photographer take a picture of each of those nudibranchs, but then spent hours putting the image together. And what a great idea! It is so creative. I don't know if it is a trend but I think NCUPS will continue to allow non-traditional photographic art...i.e. Creative, Video and Print and other category winners to be considered for Best of Show.
Best,

Congrats to all the winners specially the the Wetpixel members: Linda, Herb, Jose and others, I'm sure, whose names I don't rcognize.

Thanks, Larry!
When I saw the list of winners, I thought it interesting as well that the BoS was a creative image. Frankly, I am not usually taken with creative images. But when I saw Patti Baugh's image, I *loved* it. What a great concept and execution on the concept. It was beautiful, whimsical and surprising. 'Course, I'm a nudi lover.
Linda
