Nauticam HDMI Cables - Fragility

13 October 2018 - 09:17 AM

So packing my GH5 and Atomos housing for a trip, with previous HDMI cables going faulty previously with the Ninja2 and having the Inferno cable being DOA - I’m very gentle with any cables. Alas the internal micro to full size cable from Nauticam for my GH5 seems to have gone intermittent [emoji20]

So another £40 needed.

Is it just me who is having really bad reliability with Nauticam HDMI cables?

GoPro Fusion or ThetaV - Anyone got one?

21 April 2018 - 06:44 AM

Looking at buying a new ‘toy’ to have a look at on my next holiday, and I’m eyeing up the Fusion - as taking my drone seems risky these days.

It seems to provide the best / sharpest video out of all the current prosumer cameras (from the current reviews of the Rylo, Insta360, ThetaV etc)

Wondered if anyone has one either land based or either taken it underwater (I think only the 360 bubble can do this to 10m...)

The thetaV looks really promising with its underwater housing to 30m, but the YouTube videos are pretty bad, yet the same clips on their website are pretty amazing.

Anyone using Sea&Sea Buoyancy Handle (Plastic)

07 April 2018 - 07:08 AM

So...

I was searching online for some options on long arms for WA and for whatever reason

This came up in my search:

Yes, looks a bit silly (someone no doubt gonna try and take a call on it...) but it did get my thinking....

The yellow variant

is perfect for big rigs where you want to hand off your equipment to boat handlers and I'm always trying to point to a part they can take it from me with, with this handle, its large, bright and can't be missed.

Before I spend £150 on one (yes crazy price eh) - wondering if anyone is using one, had one etc?

FS: Nauticam NA-GH3 / GH4 Housing and Camera + Keldan Luna 8 CRI Lights

26 December 2017 - 05:40 AM

For Sale:
(Due to GH5 Upgrade)

A Nauticam NA-GH3 Housing with the GH4 Upgrade Kit to enable use with the GH4.

Its all working perfectly, last dive was sub 100m and it worked fine. It does have a few cosmetic marks (mainly on the lower rear) but its just some slight cosmetic wear. I had intended on keeping it as a purely macro rig, but not sure I can justify keeping two housings - and I want some more lights :)

Comes with Body Cap

FlexiTray II with 2 Handles (not shown)

Vacuum Electronics (Requires vacuum valve)

GH4 (USA Edition - so no EU 29:59min limit) which has the V-LOG-L upgrade - it great condition, its been mostly in the housing so very near mint.

 - Includes: Battery, charger, strap, body cap, flash cover in the original box

800e all together.

Keldan Luna 8 CRI Lights, set of 2 with the 5,000lm CRI Modules + The 5,000lm CYAN Modules for ambient shooting, comes with chargers and battery (1 for each light). I'm moving to the even greater power lights, so would like to sell these too.

They are also in good condition, the domes have a few marks, but nothing to effect the lighting quality and the body as a couple of marks.
