Hello.

I have a Sony a6000 and use daily to take photos of my clients here in Tenerife Spain.

In the middle of a dive suddenly the internal flash stopped working.

I went to the support and the technician open the internal flash and we noticed the light bulb has exploded.

No physical shocks or floodings.

What do you think the possible causes of it?

Two days before was a little bit of moist inside the housing, the lens was fogged.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks

Kauê

It could just be that it reached the end of its life. There are only so many flashes the bulb can produce before it dies. I've heard numbers from 1,000 cycles on compact cameras to 10,000 on external flashes.

Buut moisture could definitely cause an explosion.
