Happy and proud to announce that my short film "The Mother" was selected to play at the San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition, Inc. this year.

Octopuses are one time mothers because they die after releasing their eggs.More than a month they use all their energy to clean and blow water on their eggs...

I hope you enjoy

#397137 microbialites underwater

Posted by lutfu on 07 July 2018 - 08:09 PM

Hello   No actually it wasn't as salty as ocean..it was so bitter though.....and it was a bit like diving in silicone because the form of the water was strange..  İt wasn't good for my ear and lips but im not 100 percent sure if it was because of the water.  but definitely not good for open injuries.

the interesting  thing about there was we went there to film microbialites but we found an unknown part of an  urartu castle from 700 bc

Coming from gh4 i think having  the ibis underwater is a great thing  (for me at least)

İ have the gh5 now but i havent used it uw that much until now..this one i have filmed back in october . İ have 5000x2 lights but at some sceneries i havent used them at all...Unfortunately i cant remember my iso vallues .... those caves were  dark actually ..

Hi Guys,

Is there someone who experimented with V-Log underwater?

Pro & cons?

Hello DB

Actually i did film in v log underwater but you cant count it as a normal dive...it was a night filming and i had to use the pana 12 35 for the 2.8 aperture because of low lightning situation....i dont think it will answer your question but it is still v log underwater....and as i told being so lazy on the surface i havent grade it. so i dont know the results...but i have been told that they were ok...

if you  want to try you can download the footage from https://wetransfer.c...10113230/5c8a6b  regards

I tried the gh5 on a dive  in caves and tunnels underwater...no grading ,auto wb, scenery mode.  had to dive with a big group though..

The lady is going to try the world record of 112 meters at 12th of November and i just filmed the practice with a gh5.

Coming from gh4 i found the gh5 also an amazing camera, especially the is works perfect...

But  i still couldn't get rid of  the purplish color when i film wide angle in blue water....With gh4 i had the same issue but in time i kind of managed to get satisfactory blue color , but with this one even im trying to do same setings that i was doing with gh4 ,like combinations of wb, hue, saturation , photo style...it doesnt seem like it is working good....İ hope in time i can manage...İ also noticed the screen shows a lot more purple than the wiewfinder...Do you have the same issues about the  color of the blue water

Thanks and regards

Wow amazing place and beautiful shots!

I should come in turkey someday.

It's not your GH4, isn'it?

We have a similar place South of Rome unfortunately without so many fishes. It's a karst lake who flows in a river:

Trouts reproduce in this part of the year and we dive down the river trough a ripping current. We leave one car 3 KM downstream and we get carried away with the camera in our hands.

I have a lot of shots never published. You are making me want to edit something.

Some years ago I just published a teaser and nothing more... time time time...

So nice David thanks for posting and yes the places are really similar

You are right the camera is Sony hvr z1...Actualy i filmed this  4 yrs ago and for some reason i wanted to edit again...

I had to walk in the bushes and in the mud with a big chunky z1 housing also.......but still miss it tough..
