About to get another Aquatica housing and was thinking about getting one with an optical trigger after only using hard wired systems.

Has anyone any experience with the Aquatica optical system and any thoughts or recommendatations?

Thanks - Jon

Hi Jon,

You can look TTL-Converter for Aquatica housings.

It supports optical TTL and wired TTL simultaneously.

Hi Pavel. I am sure you are right but I just wanted to double check because I couldn't find any more info on this flash trigger. Does the electric connection support TTL for sure? And is rear curtain supported in both modes?

Thanks for any info

Yes, electric connection supports TTL.

Rear curtain synchronization is supported in all modes.

Hi Pavel.
Does this trigger support second curtain sync with Canon cameras?
I have read some where that canon cameras second curtain was only possible with Canon Speedlight strobes..

Hi Pavel.
Does this trigger support second curtain sync with Canon cameras?
I have read some where that canon cameras second curtain was only possible with Canon Speedlight strobes..

I can confirm, that product supports second curtain, it works. This TTL-Converter is intellectual device, the same level as original Canon Speedlights. It supports all Canon cameras, independently of model and TTL-protocol version.

Here is the picture of available 1-st/2-nd curtain settings, which this TTL-Converter loads into the camera menu:

UWTechnics TTL-Converter for Canon fully supports camera menu for external flash control, saves all these settings in onboard non-volatile memory, automatically load settings to camera menu and to camera brains during communication.

Many useful features are available via that TTL board, for example possible to switch to M mode by camera menu and adjust underwater flash intensity manually by camera scale. It gives more wide and accurate manual adjustment, than underwater strobe dial switches.

I am not sure, but suppose these are the single TTL-Converters on the market which support Canon menu so deep.
