Using the XIT's and really only semi-happy. As others have said, the screw-clamp-legs just slip away too quickly and dont tighten up properly. Just out in Anilao and swearing a lot ....

Will look into the Inon's or Zen next when I'm back.

Hi Guys, I use this http://www.backscatt...Adjustable-Legsit's quite pricey but once you get it setup it does the job well. Though I like the simplicity of the clamp method over this one since it seems to be much quicker I believe to setup a shot though i've yet to try it. 

 

I also have not found a tripod setup i'm entirely happy with.

I had something similar before. But the top end of the legs are just too close together and dont build a stable base. The center of gravity is too narrow on these.

You need the base to be as wide as possible, ie below left and right handle and the third leg below the backside of the housing.

I believe the new Nauticam GH5 housing incorporates just that kind of base, for what it's worth.

Indeed. I ordered the Tripod balls together with my housing.
