Blenny from Sea of Cortez

I found this blenny in the islands in the sea of cortex.  I do not see them in my Reef Fish book for that region.

Any idea what they might be?

Note the blue spot with ring around it near the base of the tale in the second photo.  They both have it.

 

Not saying they are rare but they are hard to find unless they move a bit.

Try Mexican/Flapscale Blenny, Paraclinus mexicanus/sini.  Humann/Deloach Reef Fish Baja to Panama Page 189.  They say it's impossible to tell the two species apart visually underwater.

Yes, that is the one.  The color pattern in  Reef Fish is far from what I saw but they apparently vary quite a bit.    They did have the spot on the dorsal fin and the dark band below the eye.
