DiveandSee uses Mini-HDMI in their connectors. Never had any issues.
Micro HDMI is know for being very unreliable and easy to break. looks like Nauticam was betting on the wrong horse...

What do you guys think of the shortcoming of not having IBIS? I know a guy who said the IBIS in the GH5 made shooting video super great. Those who have GH5 and GH5S, how bad is the IBIS difference?

I have both. On my trip to French Polynesia I used the GH5S underwater. It looked ok when casually checking the footage on a notebook during the trip. But during editing back home on a big screen iMac, the Micro-jitters were very apparent. and with strong currents you could „see“ the drag more than what I got with the GH5. I could fix some issues in post-stabilisation, but many not.

I‘d certainly go for the stabilized GH5 again next time and not the „s“.

Hey bubffm,  I am thinking of buying Color Finale for FCPX, and glad to hear that you had a good experience with it.  Do you have any articles, videos, tips or recommendations of using Color Finale specifically for UW video color correction?

I think Color Finale is not really necessary any more now with FCPX 10.4, which has better build-in color tools. However, I - like Pete - do most color correction / editing work in Davinci Resolve now, which has seen some massive leaps in functionality over the past two years.

Here is a thread that compares the BMD Pocket 4K to the GH5. I’m not really impressed if the P4k is similar to the GH5 in low light performance :(

well, may depend on the capabilities of the user. This LL-stuff looks pretty impressive

Thanks. The North Pass is also interesting but we got ripped apart by the currents, so it was not that much fun. South is usually more moderate and the sharks seem to like a slightly more relaxed style as well as they mostly gather there :)

Unfortunately, coral-wise the bleaching was really bad in most places we visited.
