Any chance you might have mould on your lenses? You can see this on the lens as a "bloom". Seems a bit of a long-shot as even that would be unlikely to cause such an even haze - and you're using two lenses

Condensation in the camera body? Or, more likely, in the dome? Or on a filter? (but yeah, no filter on the Tokina)

In Topic: Meikon housing

I have a similar issue with my Meikon housing for a Canon mirrorless. Below 100ft, the shutter button sticks in the housing making it difficult to do a half-press for focus and requiring you to pull it back up between shots. I found pressing on either the left or the right side of the button can sometimes make it hit better. Once I get above 100ft, it works fine again. I never found a good solution, but most of my dives are not so deep, so I stopped worrying about it.

That does sound like a pressure/depth issue.

I had the same thought: strobes? Are you using them and are they firing?

I'd have said too that proximity to the subject could also be part of the problem - some of them are quite distant (first and last especially) - but you do seem quite close to the stingrays.

Good viz, as you say. And you don't look as though you are very deep either. Strobes?

In Topic: Canon vs Nikon for underwater photography

I believe canon wins here Hands Down. The best model of canon for underwater photography i would say is

Backscatter Canon 5D Mark IV
It's a Do-it-all video and photo SLR with professional capabilities. It shoots 4K video and high-resolution 30-MP stills.

Let's not get into a "is Canon or Nikon better" argument!

In Topic: Back Button Focus for D7000 in Nauticam housing

The results of having too many things going at once and not enough detail in them.

The D7000 does have access to the AEl/AFL button.

So clearly, I was wrong.

Commentator, please just delete this entire topic.  I do not want to mislead others in the future.

No problem, Dave.

We'll leave these posts as they are as there could be useful info for other future readers. Good that you have a solution  :dancing:
