I have been looking at underwater pictures for many many years. Very rarely does one come up that can blow you away as much as Ron's Mandarin Goby shot which won the last POTW competition.
The more I look at it, the more I realise what a masterpiece it is. Not only does the initial wow factor get 100 percent but just look at the perfect facial focus and the graded blurring. The composition is perfect and the colour of course is totally awesome. Everything came together on this shot - I am still waiting for one like that!
The only problem for Ron is how he is going to ever top that one!

I agree that it is a beautiful photo. I think the angle could have been better. If the photog were slightly lower, looking more level with the fish, I think it would be even better.
