I have used the 8-15mm with a 4" port and the Seacam CFWA port (with a Kenko 1.4x TC)  which is significantly smaller.

I think that while the results are acceptable, there is no doubt that smaller ports do affect image quality. The fisheye effect camouflages the corner distortion, but it is still there...

I would recommend shooting this lens behind a 170mm port or greater size if possible.

Jess-check out the images from Gulen, Norway during the latest Shootout:

They were all shot in green water with similar visibility...  :good:

4" glass dome with full frame is not a great option unless you shoot at f/11 or greater.

This will be especially true with the D850's resolution.

I would look at a 6" or 170mm dome.

There is a huge amount of info on this forum about lens choices for the D850. I would suggest having a good search around...

All the best

Actually, the type of camera is less important than how the strobe's output is being controlled.

If you wish to shoot with manual flash output control, then the "Pre-Flash Cancellation" button should be in the in (down) position.

If you wish to shoot using TTL flash/exposure output control, the "Pre-Flash Cancellation" button should be in the out (up) position.

Of course, your camera settings control whether the camera is supplying a manual or TTL flash signal, so this needs setting in your camera menu too.
