I'm looking for suggestions where to go end of February - begin of March.

In which Destinations is this the optimal time to Travel there?

I'm thinking of South-East Asia but ar open to other Suggestions too.

Liveaboard prefered but not a must.

I'm traveling from Europe and when destinations are Equal intersting 10hr flight is prefered to 24hr flight ;-)

Thanks in Advance

Around this time of the year in SEA, I can recommend Puerto Galera with Atlantis Resort. Great for macro and wide angle. Accomodation and food are good. I go to PG at least once a year.

If you prefer a live aboard, they cruise from there to their other resort in Dumaguete. Great dives, varied, enough to please most divers and photographers.

It's a good time to see mantas in Yap! It's their mating season.
I recommand it!

This also seems to be a good time to dive Raja Ampat. Kararu has a new boat that'll be there at that time.

If you want to go west consider Turks and Caicos. We spent a week on Salt Cay in Feb. During that time Humpback whales are migrating through. The walls are great (20-40m) and 10-20 on top. We have used Salt Cay Divers on both trips. www.saltcaydivers.tc

Another vote for Puerto Galera. Contact Martin Muller (he's originally from Germany, info@scubaplus.com he runs a tight operation and serves the best food anywhere in Puerto Galera. Plus, he's located at a quieter area of Puerto, (Small La Laguna Beach, about a slow, 10 minute walk from Sabng) I prefer to not stay in Sabang. B)
