What about..

One Pal HDV tape for the Z1 or HC1 or FZ1 or A1 camera or whatever you use for HDV.
1440/1080 PAL or NTSC is the same res.

One DATA DVD disk with a NTSC encoded Mpeg2 file on it making sure the audio is AC2 or PCM for NTSC players. Just drag the files off the disk to the computer into the DVD authoring program for the compilation DVD for the judges. Easy.......

How do you convert a PAL HDV tape to a HDV NTSC one" Anyone know?
