Any one know of a simple slide show program that can be installed on cd's that will boot up and run a programmed show. Ex. you sell a bunch of pictures to a client and you install the program on the cd to run the slide show on a computer or even better using there dvd player. - thanks

I'd second Giles recommendation. That's the software I use too.

I've been using pro show gold and now pro show producer for about a year, excellent product, I've found a few little items that it wouldn't do. Those issues were solved with a feature request to the author and a little time for them to put out an update. It outputs to just about every format I could ever want.

Also have a look at PicturesToExe if you want to make simple executable CD or DVD slideshows. Very easy to use and very reasonable ($24)

The nice thing about ProShow Gold is that it now handles transparent layers, allowing you to do more creative work. That is in its new release. I'll be getting ProShow Producer and really start creating some unique shows. PS gold is about $80, while Producer is $350.
