Not a huge deal, but a lot of fun! Results of the 2005 Underwaterphotography.com contest are out. I won a gold medal on the over/under category and was a runner-up on the macro. Lots of wetpixel members did great, Rand won the wrecks category, Todd was bronze medal and Karl was runner up on the macro category, Dr Bob Whorton was the overall winner. I am sure there are more members...

Composite? No! That's the original shot! Taken with my F100 and a 24-50mm lens zoomed at about 35mm behind a flat port. The sea was exceptionally calm, that's why I was able to do it. I used two strobes to light the underwater portion.

I thought that was Lambis but wasn't sure, he lists a different website there, and that greek name!

Just goes to show that diving in Caperwray Quarry can pay dividends providing you've got a good model like member Derek Haslam.
