I finally got to see a copy last night, after JP!
I must say that I am incredibly pleased with how it looks, and I think it offers excellent value for money. I also read it today - cover to cover - well I was on a plane - and I forgot how many cool people are featured in it. There are quotes from (to name drop a few) JC, J-M C, other Cousteaus, Hans Hass, Howard Hall, Lou Feed, Ned DeLoach, Helmut Debelius, Cathy Church, Zena Holloway, Tanya Streeter + lots of other freedivers, plus several esteemed members of this forum. Also everyone around me on the flights was asking about it - and I just had to drop into the conversation that it just happened to be my book!
The weird thing is seeing a book with pictures of all your friends in. Quite surreal.
Anyway I am stuck in Palm Beach Airport (very tired as I am still on UK time where it is 02:45am) waiting for young Mr Cheng to arrive. Unbeknown to him, I have the first copy of The Art Of Diving to make it into the states, waiting here for him.

Just recieved my copies of Diver and dive. I haven't had a chance to read up yet but being described as the best thing since Cousteau's 'silent world' by David Doubilet is a honour in itself..ell done Alex and Nick..
Also in 'DIVER' is Mike's super artical on sharks in Rangiroa.. Looks good.
Although I would complain about the (ment to be) photo of him at the start of the mag... They've used a shot of a 'Mr potato head' promotion
Good on ya girls..
NOW ON SKYPE !!! ... deanb69

Dive Magazine has also put this virtual preview of the book online:
Which gives a nice idea of the product.

I got my copy a couple of days ago.
I have to say this is the best Diving Book I ever had in my hands. The Pictures are spectacular and the texts are really worth reading!

The publishing company behind the book are currently negotiating the US edition/US distribution rights. I would expect a pre-Christmas release of a US edition.
In the meantime there is nothing to stop individual US shops ordering the UK Edition.
Also I finally got some copies myself this week that I am happy to send out signed. Unfortunately the postage costs to the States is about £13 - which kind of negates the effort we made in trying to get this book out at such a cheap price (£20). Obviously if you get them from me you can get signed ones.
To put that price in perspective The Art Of Diving costs 50% of the price of Paul Humann's popular Caribbean Reef Fish ID book here in the UK (which usually sells for £39.95). http://www.aquapress...p?id=154&cat=24
Early sales have been strong - fingers crossed they continue...

You can order from amazon.co.uk and have it sent to the USA can you not ?
Amazon UK also have the book on sale for a reduced price - which will help offset the shipping costs if you are not a UK person. For UK people it is a bit of a false economy, because the book would ship for free if it was on sale at its recommended price!
The book has been doing fantastically well at Amazon.co.uk - it is regularly in the top 1000 best sellers and occassionally dips into the top 500 of all books (at time of writing it is at 778 - this updates all the time). This is amazing for an UW book - as most diving books have a Sales Rank of somewhere between 10,000 and 30,000!
Also if anyone has time to write a review on Amazon I would be very grateful. They can be very short - the idea is just to be helpful to other customers.
