Yep it was a small Shark, only ever seen a 12 meter one here a few times, mostly 5/8 meters but you do get the odd larger ones from time to time.
That one had a tag in it, swam with him the year before as well.
The footage from the FZ1 is interesting, the HDV camera's don't like dirty water and you can see compression in the dirty open water background on some shots. Shoot in clear water or up close or with lights on and you are okay. ALso shots of jumping in with Kelly showed up mpeg blockness as well. But you have to be looking for it to pick it out.
I also was asked to supply some footage for a demo disk to go out on a new multifomat HD/DVD player that is to be realeased in AUS and the the states soon. I uploaded some nice m2t shot in clear blue water and he said it did not look as good as the HD demo stuff he had from the big HD camers and so does not want to use it now B)
HERE IS a demo 1440/1080 77meg m2t file I sent him to view.
I'll edit up some stuff shot with ligths and macro to see what he thinks. The player can run full HD res TS files on normal DVD disks.
I suppose to most people it still looks very nice and much beter than DV but it just cannot compete with true clear HD shots.
