Hello all,
Looking for some first hand advice regardinga dive destination. I have the opportunity to go to St. Lucia or Cozumel in 2 weeks. I've done Cozumel and it was nice and I kinda would like to try something new but I have never really heard much about St. Lucia. From the little research I have done sounds like there are some nice reefs there but does it even compare with Cozumel?
Also, how about the night life in St. Lucia for a single guy? Kinda sounds like a couples place to me??
Any thought would be appreciated...I have a day or two to figure this out.
Cant wait to try my new Sea & Sea wide angle lens...
Thanks!

I would be inclined to agree that the weddings are better than the diving on SL. Cozumel offers much more scope - 10 visits maybe you'll see 0.5%

I'd go along with Bob.
Was over there about 5 yrs ago, although never dived. From what I saw & heard the best diving you'll get there is in the bedroom. Mind you if you are on your own that's not much consolation. Better off with a greasy boxing glove & a mucky mag.

You guys are too much!!!
I chose to go to Cozumel again....I really could not finding anything really nice about St Lucia's diving....and I think Coz is probably some of the best in the area. Or so it would seem??
So Iam off for a week the 2nd week of February
thanks for the input....

Hey Jed, I've been to Cozumel 10 times and I never get enough. I'm not sure where you are coming from, but it's 2 1/2 hours from Texas. I have to get my Mexico fix at least once a year. If you need any help on a dive op, I use a small owner/operator that we all think is tops. I can't stand the large "cattle boat" ops. I also know a good local leasing agent there if you would rather rent a home instead of a resort. We never go all-inclusive since there are so many excellent places to eat and we always have to do our favorites.
Overall, considering travel, cost, food, culture, and diving, I think Cozumel is a bargain.
PS "El busear en la cama" is as good there as any other destination.
