3.5-inch 4Gbit Fibre Channel drive full of Flash memory from Baydel.

They added it to a RAID system for a UK government organisation.
I doubt it's affordable for people like me ... but I lust none the less.
But they talk about how fast it is, imagine almost instant backing up and restoring from solid state ... no more having to wait days when you have a boo boo.
They admit it's slower than RAM and has a limited life of maybe 10,000 write to's. I don't know quite how it all integrates, but I have always wondereed why we went away from solid state memory.
Like the Playstation and Nintendo devices, Solid State Memory carried the games .. now DVD does .. I Hat eload times on Games !

Anyhoo ... thought I would share as I like to be geeky sometimes !
