Beyond the Snapshot: Creating Underwater Photographs with Impact
November 15th: 7:30 p.m. Vancouver Maritime Museum
Whether a beginner with a new digicam, or an experienced photographer still shooting film, there are some important considerations that will improve your underwater photographs. Underwater photographer Marli Wakeling will lead you through some strategies and techniques to use that will help you move beyond the basic snapshot or “ID” photograph, to the creation of images with impact and interest. Tips on composition, lighting, equipment, exposure and focus, viewpoint and subject matter coupled with examples from recent travels to Indonesia, Central America, and British Columbia will inspire you to get wet and get that stunning underwater shot.

Nope, I'll still be coming to Oz en route to the Solomons; I just have to wait to book specifics for flights as the flights to and from the Solomons are still not firmed up.
