I have a L & M compact monitor (powered from the camera, TRV950). Whats the chances of using it with an amphibico housing? I guess the cable connector will be different etc... just to make things awkward. :glare:

Hi JB,
Yes that is a possibility as I did the very same thing.
There is a bulk head connector you can purchase that connects the two together. They are sold for around £130 - 150 at F.E.P...Just ask them for the 3pin male connector (right angle) adapted for Amphibico housings.
If its a problem just mention me..And prepare for abuse.

Not so fast jonny boy. some of the new sony hd cams don't power out to the monitors. the older compact monitors from L&M have no batteries. no power = no screen. so, if you don't have a battery powered monitor or you are using the fx1/z1 or similar..you are out of luck. wasn't sure if you were using or are still using the trv950. don't buy that connector until you confirm...what are you shooting with?

I do remember someone on here saying that the new camera's don't offer power out to the screen. Oh well, i'll sell it with my setup. I'm using the TRV950.
