The latest issue of Sportdiving Magazine has one of my shots on the front cover - pretty amazing really, since I took the shot with a Olympus C5050 & PT-015 housing - plus a UWL 100 Inon w/angle lens & 2 x Inon Z220 strobes.
Pic was taken on the USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben- Bali, there is also a feature inside the magazine.
Oh.... by the way - the good looking model is my wife Dawn, she always wanted to be a cover-girl -_- :( :)

Congratulations Jeff!!!

Thats really great. Nice picture.

Newbie question here. How do you get to have your photo in a magazine? You send them your portfolio or a sample of photos for the magazine to look at?

Regards,

Nuno

Thanks for the kind comments.

Nunomix - Best way to get published is to send off pics to every source you can think of that may use underwater photos. One of my first sales was to a local postcard manufacturer, they still sell them (now 30 years later).
Dive magazines tend to look for features with text and photos, but try them if you have some thing special in the way of images.

Elbuzo - Thanks for the congratulations, but I think it is I who should be congratulating you - I saw your winning shot in the Our World Underwater 2007 - very, very nice image - and now your off to South Africa - I hope the Diving Monster is leaving his poor wife at home  Felicitaciones mi amigo y buen salto
