Scuba Diving Magazine is making its last-minute push for submissions to the 2007 Photo Contest.

Compete in four categories: Wide-Angle, Marine Life, Macro and Topside/Diving Lifestyle

Grand Prize $1,000 CASH and a DIVE TRIP FOR TWO to Manta Ray Bay Hotel in Yap, Micronesia
First Place Wide-Angle: Scubapro MKII/S555 regulator and dive trip for two to Paradise Villas, Little Cayman; Marine Life: Scubapro MKII/S555 regulator and dive trip for two to Journey's End Resort, Belize; Macro: Scubapro MKII/S555 regulator and dive trip for two to Scuba Club Cozumel, Cozumel; Topside/Diving Lifestyle: Scubapro MKII/S555 regulator and dive trip for one on the live-aboard Bilikiki, Solomon Islands
Second Place (In Each Category) Dive trip for two to the Crystal Coast of North Carolina and an UWATEC Aladin Prime wrist mount computer
Third Place (In Each Category) Henderson Microprene wetsuit

All entries must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2007.

I looked for the rules the other day and couldn't find anything, i was specifically looking for rules about images which had been published before or placed in competitions before.

From our Photo Contest judge:

"By submitting a photo, we reserve the right to use it in print and online in our feature about the Photo Contest, and also in promotions for future Photo Contests by the magazine. Copyright remains with the photographer."

Thanks Nick,

I hate to be cynical, but on the printed entry form which entrants would have to sign to enter it states:

Please accept my work for consideration in the 2007 Scuba Diving
Photo Contest. I certify that my entries are original photographs
taken by me. I've read and fully understand the rules of the competition,
and agree to allow Scuba Diving to reproduce my photograph
or photographs in the magazine, on the magazine's web
site or in promotion materials in the event my entry is selected as
a winner.

This does not have 'copyright remains with the photographer' on there, which is what i think cor was looking for.
