I remember that I used to be on an e-mail list for squid run announcements in San Diego. Does anyone know an operator who does these things? I would love to get out there to photograph it.

Hi Eric,
Dunno of an operator right off hand.
However, my friend Steve Constable (remember him?) owns a zodiac and he can launch from Scripps Pier in La Jolla. Might be worth talking to him or the folks at Scripps (Birch Aquarium) about.
If you decide to shoot the squid run this year, please please call me! ;-)
