There seems to be a lot of casual testing with the 14-24 but not a lot of useful examples. I suspect that's because of the embargo on posting D3 images, the inability to shoot RAW with the D3, and the fact that the 14-24 is also unreleased. It would be nice to see examples with existing Nikkor wide lenses since that's what people are familiar with. It looks like we'll be waiting for actual reviews.

Stephen Frink pointed out already that the 14-24 has been demonstrated capable of not-so-stunning results ;-) It would be great if Nikon would do the FF equivalent to the 10-17.

I agree, considering the D300, 40D, and Mk3 requirements, that the D3 would justifiably have lower priority. With DEMA around the corner, I'm sure we'll know more. All of these cameras are evolutions of previous models so perhaps they'll decide to do them all at the same time.
