I moved from Cozumel to Connecticut, you probably saying what I was thinking?

Which is to become a Professional Underwater Photographer
Any suggestions where should I start?

Bien venido. I like the fist and the 4th one. Both subjects are engaging. Sus Suenos son mas grande que mios. I'm only an amateur, but my goal is to become a better as well. By the way, Su Isla a mi me gusta!!!

Get some fish behavior book, that will help you to spot some nice opportunities, spawning, yawning and territorial disputes make awesome pictures.

Try to shoot a lot, do some trips to zones that doesn’t have the same aspect as your local dive.

Buy a lot of books about UWP, Maritn Edge´s “The Underwater Photographer - Third Edition” is a nice start.

I noticed that three of your photos have the same angle, for a start try to change that, besides I don’t see this angle working very well. Fishes going away don’t make good photos most of the time.

On contraire, I like your arrow crab picture.

If you want to, you can PM me and we can talk in Spanish or Spanglish! (Too much Miami for me, maybe I can solve this by going to L.A… )

Some day I'm going to board a dive boat and there will be an Elvis convention, except instead of Elvis they will all look like Eric Cheng. His name will be used as a verb. "Man, great shot, you really Chenged that one!"

1) Fall out of love. You won't be able to afford it.

2) Move back to Mexico. People ask me why I go to this place or that to take photos. Because that's where the fish are. These places do not include Connecticut.

I am really sorry for the spelling I was typing to fast

I know that I dream to big but I am a leaving example of what a person can accomplish

I left my home, family, friends, and a beautiful Island.
15 years ago I told my dad that I will be leaving the Island because I needed something more, I knew that he can’t give me the economical support to finish a career so I decide to leave the Island and start fresh. I save enough and on the first opportunity I fly to Florida.

I when to see my brother play during the Soccer world Cup in Orlando in 1994 he help me out too. I headed to Connecticut to visit my girlfriend. I suffer by getting jobs here, there anything until I got a chance to go to school now look at me.

I am working as an IT-Network Designer for the local Phone Company AT&T. I am married, I have a 5 year old child and my folks are very proud of me.

I work hard for it I can work hard to be like Eric Cheng the only think I need is people like you guys to keep helping me out by correcting and critiquing my work
I really appreciate the warm welcome this is going to be fun.
