Here are a few from under the wave. The first one is my fave. Taking these in small waves in Yap i got my ass handed to me a few times. The guys who do this on the big waves must have reef rash galore!

I think that the first two are really interesting. I presume these were taken with your Aquatica, Mike? Not a special surf housing.

Mike, when we're there in September, we'll have to make a special trip back there. The last time, the conditions just weren't right... :)

Hey Mike, wicked shots! Are these surfable waves or just little breakers. Don't go trying this in Uluwatu, you won't come back, there many better ways to spend time in Bali...

Thanks Graham,

The waves there can get big enough to surf but its a very short break on that reef. there are two channels in yap with definite surfing waves in season though. used to be a surf operation there a few years back but they got blown away in a typhoon and never rebuilt it.

Sweet pix - but you guys should try going underwater for shots like that round my way - water temp currently hovering around 5 degrees C, its much less fun ;-)
