My local dealer says that their release was pushed back until mid summer, according to the Nikon rep. He also said there was going to be a price change but didn't know which direction.

Rumors I read said that they had over priced the lens and it would be cheaper than the ~ 1300$ US that Ritz camera had listed it at.

In the UK, on the high street, it is expected in about a month with a RRP of £900, but an expected price of £800. Which ties up with the Ritz quote of 1300 USD.
