Im excited to see what, if anything, they release. So many rumors out there right now for the D400 and also a D700x. Maybe both!! that would be nice

Seems like the D300 was out for maybe 15 minutes just about now. Canon and Nikon are releasing cameras faster than I can refresh my computer screen.

Let's face it just because new cameras come out on an ongoing basis, earlier cameras do not become obsolete; Mike V keeps reminding us of that all the time.
I suspect video will become a standard on all new DSLR's. If the rumored specs of the D400 are to be believed then those who want the best DX camera out there, with video that is likely to be equivalent to the 5DMkII, should be happy.
The quality of DX has probably reached a plateau, and near future advances will probably be incremental improvements in things like noise, speed, and dynamic range.
Anyone have any ideas what the next big thing might be, now that video is becoming standard?

Hi,
It may just a entry level dslr like D5000 (or called D60x/D65) is what they are going to release
but, I love to see new d400 and try into my d200 housing.

That looks a lot like the spec for the Canon 50D to me. Although the Canon doesn't have video capability and the specs you posted look like the liveview may be better.

I just bought a frikkin D300

Every time i buy a new camera the next model comes out!

I have been getting ready to pull the trigger on a D700 but I just may wait to see what happens in the next few weeks. Full frame means having to get another lens which means additional expense. Nothing cheap about photography.

If it will fit in a D300 housing I'm first on the list. Otherwise I will pick up a used D300 from some sap that has to upgrade. As a backup to my current D300.

I have never seen one of these new cameras fit in an old housing yet though.

Do you have a link for us? I am not hopeful that it will fit in a D300 housing (Sea & Sea in my case)...however, I am eagerly awaiting this camera...
