I took it to Hawaii just last week, unfortunately it was relegated to pool duties. The AF is pretty quick, sometimes it too quick and picks up the bubbles in front of the Lens and shoots macro!

I am going to Miami in mid-June and I will take it on a dive.

Has anyone taken one of these down to 100 feet?

The old canon "aqua snappy" 35mm camera was similarly specified, as I recall, to 35 feet. But worked fin down to 100...

Both taken with Poweshot D10 while snorkelling at night of Turtle Bay, Moalboal in the Philippines. Great little camera, easy and intuitive to use, tiny and easy to stow, and with great picture quality. Was diving to 60ft with no issues...

Don't forget the new Pany 10 meter water proof. 28mm - 128 lens. Better in so many ways than the d10. And probably focuses much quicker too.

Not sure what is meant by "better in so many ways", but I have no problem with focusing speed on the Canon D10 and the price ($289) is $100+ less than the Lumix ($399), which is not even yet available for purchase (from B&H anyway) so I can't make a true comparison yet. I don't find the shutter lag all that bad on the D10. Lag is horrible of course compared to my D300. But the D10 is a fun camera and the image quality is great. Both of these dedicated UW cameras are rated good to 33 feet. I'm not sure I want to risk taking it any deeper since I don't have 300+ bucks to throw away.

yes the d10's widest angle of 35mm, versus almost all the rest of the cams coming out with 28 or 24 was disappointing to me.

The d10's limitation of only vga video, when everything else is hd, is sad.

But for these, I would have bought one.

The ts2 is 28-128mm equiv. And 720p video.

Can't wait.

I hear ya, but you are not really comparing apples to apples. The Canon is aimed at a different market, it is built for being dropped, rafting, snorkeling & just generally kinda getting beat up. It was released nearly a year ago and the price is more than 100 less. If I really wanted to shift my focus to UW HD video, I would buy a real camera!

I'd say the ts2 is aimed squarely at the same market. It is built for being dropped, rafting, snorkeling & just generally kinda getting beat up. Probably it will be cheaper, soon after it comes out. But for $100 extra, it certainly provides features.
