The deadline has come and gone for the 10th annual San Diego Undersea Film Exhibition. There are 56 entries from around the world. Thanks to all the Wetpixel members who entered.

Now it's up to the judges, Bonnie Cardone, Doc Anes, and Annie Crawley to choose the best 30 for showing on September 11 and 12 at Qualcomm Hall in San Diego.

If you are in the area then, tickets are available on our website, www.sdufex.com.

Update on UFEX: Tom and Lynn Mitchell have replaced Annie Crawley as judges. Annie is away on an assignment. The others are Doc Anes and Bonnie Cardone. Films are now in their hands (58 entries) and decisions will be forthcoming around August 16.

Tickets are now on sale on our website, www.sdufex.com.

UFEX is incorporated as a 501 c3 nonprofit organization. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to San Diego environmental organizations.

I didn't get chance to enter anything this year sorry! :)

I always find the NTSC/HDV60i tape format requirement kind of difficult to comply with coming from a PAL country. I had someone help me out with it last year (thanks ML!), but any idea if you'll start to accept PAL entries for future festivals?

Cheers, Simon

With the hard drive and solid state recorders taking over the market, I'm sure the HDV tape requirement will be modified next year. Tape seems to be going the way of film.

The problem is we don't want to deal with too many multi formats. There will surely be heated discussion on this topic.
