A bunch of new waterproof cams out.
Fun for shooting in the pool, rafting and snorkeling.
The Panasonic is rated to 10 meters, and looks great by spec. At least it looks like it will focus faster than the d10 or oly toughs
The new Pentax W90 good for 6m.
The Sony and Samsung to 3m. The Tx5 has a nice 25mm equiv wide angle focal length.
What I want to know about all these new underwater cameras:
Is autofocus shutter lag competence very different? Generally the sony's kick butt in the area of AF lag, and canon and oly just laze along.
Does the camera autofocus while shooting video?
Can you zoom while shooting video?
Can you pause and resume one video clip, rather than stopping and starting a new clip every time?
Thanks all!
Don
