In the pattern of buying thing and then selling them for less money:

Olympus C-5050 and PT-015 housing: $600
w/67-77 step-up ring and 77mm FL-D filter for ambient light photography (magenta filter)

No boxes, but comes with C-5050 manual. I can get you the boxes in about a year, after I find them in my storage unit. :D

Tiny spot/nick in the very center of lens. Hasn't affected photo quality in any way that I can see.

Can ship them on 10/17-19. After that, they will be available on Nov 4 and 5 for shipping (I'm out of town).

Well, can you make an insurance claim now? Look on the bright side perhaps?

Perhaps. But I have a $500 deductible, and making the claim may make my insurance go up. I'm going to have to weigh the costs...

Along with the camera were a 1gb card and 4 rechargeable AA batteries. So it was worth quite a bit of money. :(

God is punishing you for abandoning Olympus. :-)

Just curious...are you THAT disappointed with it that you didn't want to use it as a backup rig? I must admit that I am not as happy with this setup as I was with the Oly 4040, but figured it's mostly my lack of skill rather than the camera's fault...

Actually, I *was* that disappointed.

However, if pressed, I would definitely use it as a back-up macro rig with an external strobe. with enough light at ISO 64, the thing would still be very good. But for wideangle, I probably would not use it unless I absolutely had to.

I use the camera a lot on land as well, and not only was it larger than alternatives, but it was a hell of a lot more noisy, too.

And now, it's gone, and I've sold my housing, so I definitely can no longer use it. :(

Did anyone get a photo of that? Hopefully someone with a W-I-D-E angle lens?
