Very nice,

Particularly like the 2nd and last one.

I nearly like the 1st dragonfly, I like the angle of the stem it is resting on but the clipped wing bothers me a little. It feels a little lost somewhere between a full shot and a tight crop.

Thanks for sharing...

Cool! Loving the flies, too. And the wee white critter (spider?)

Hello all,

Thank u all so much for your kind words and honest critique.
Really really appreciated and encouraging.
Looking at all your own individual works- I have a long way to go yet- fabulous!!! :-)

Elaine- to answer your question- the spider in question is from the Crab Spider family.

See this link as example:
http://en.wikipedia...._spider#Gallery

I only discovered the existance of this tiny little guy last year- while getting a photo of a Fox Glove flower.
This year I think I will be looking at fox gloves and other flowers alot more closely- and looking out for these little guys- great photo potential.
Apparently they come in a few colour variants. When I look at them I think.... 'pea crab on coral'..
They are tiny little critters-this one was about 3mm across.

Kind regards and happy snapping in 2010
