Sony NEX-3 AND NEX-5 get 3D panorama update

Hi all,

Sony have released a firmware update that allows the NEX EVIL cameras to produce 3D panoramas.

Rather than a conventional dual lens approach though the Sony sweep panorama technology works by shooting a burst of frames while having you smoothly pan across a scene, so it looks like they are using some fancy processing techniques to figure out perspective from the panning action.

Someone needs to get one of those setups underwater; anyone make a housing yet?
