This noise suppression thing with LR 3 is really tiresome. Just looking at the posting on the main page from Photography Bay touting LR3's noise suppression abilities. What they fail to mention is that it has smudged the hell out of the detail. Look at the windows in the bottom left, they are almost non-existent in the LR3, also loss of separation in the columns adject to the clock etc.
C'mon guys, get the highest quality image (detail) from your RAW convertor, then worry about appropriate selective noise suppression if needed using programs like Noise Ninja. It simply makes no sense to me to tout the noise reduction abilities of a RAW convertor if there is the remotest possibility of loss of detail in the process.
