I'd like to point out that the above image was taken with Alexis' trademark "upside-down Seacam" method. ;)

Looks like you guys had a great time. Thanks for posting the photos of Kimberly as Jim named her after my daughter. It's good to see she is doing well!

Like I said, sorry I had to miss the party, esp. with Emma in attendance! Sterling, the spot couldn't have gone to a nicer guy - I love Max the friendly grouper. Can't wait to see more!

Two goliath groupers (Epinephelus itajara) on the wreck of the Zion, Jupiter, Florida

While shooting video today, I had quite a few moments in which I wished only for a strobe or two (we about a dozen goliath groupers around at a time, and you could see the bottom from the surface, which means >95' vis).

I can tell you, it was a great photo dive if you had strobes

3D anaglyph (red/cyan) glasses necessary. Reef sharks, lemon sharks and nurse sharks investigate a gorgonian, where an injured fish must be hiding.

We had a great finale to what has been a very memorable trip. 100+ foot vis, strong current, and some grouper supermodels made for a productive morning and early afternoon on the wreck of the Zion. Following that, we were able to make high tide at the Blue Heron Bridge, and squeeze in a last (2 hour+) macro dive. Jim was gracious enough to lend me his 1D Mark IV rig to shoot macro at the bridge since I didn't even bring a macro lens or port - though he did tease me about it constantly.

Some last photos:

A pair of goliath groupers hanging near the entrance of the wreck of the Zion.

The groupers were much friendlier and easier to photograph compared to the first day of the trip.

We finally found ourselves a player. This is the same animal starring in Eric's video and Alex's photo.

When we bumped into Shen underwater, he was kind enough to point out this adorable juvenile trunkfish.

I have just thoroughly enjoyed all the fantastic imaging and posts from your Bahamas adventure!!!

And, Eric, I have to say that the 3D sharks investigating the gorgonian is my favorite of your 3D videos so far.

It really really works for me--and the color holds up well, too, for anaglyph.

Great imaging, all!!!

(And all you folks who don't yet keep a pair of 3D anaglyph glasses near your computer monitor, definitely start!)

Thanks, MLP! It works well, I think. I'll get you a 1080p version for you to check out. The 3D effect is good, but the HD quality absolutely sucks. ;)
