Basically I have Fix housing and G11 which I like very much and considering buying a back up G11 before it becomes obsolete.
But a few internet boards etc seem to indicate that the G12 will fit in G11 housings.
There is a front control dial which is, new the rest looks the same.
Any thoughts and info will be appreciated.

The cameras are the same except that the G12 has the front ring dial, what you can't use
with the G11 housing. As the FIX housing is extremly precise and slim there may be some problems
with this particular housing and the front dial, while in a "bigger" housing the camera should fit.
Now the big question is if you need the front dial to use the camera or if you can still use it without.
Honestly, i don't see too much differences between both to change my G11/Patima rig.

The G11 housings won't have this function even if they fit.
It was a tough call for us between the G11 & S90 for this reason.

The Canon OEM housing works fine as there is extra space in that area of the housing and the front dial is well clear of the front. It's almost as though they knew when they were making the housing for the G11...

Anyway, switching from G11 to G12 and not being able to use the front dial makes no sense to me if i'm not able to change ISO, zoom and Mode .... I rather stick with my G11 or wait if a G12 housing will be available.
I would like also to see some pictures from both cameras to verify the quality differences between both cameras.
