I'm not sure if this is my best shot of 2010 but it is the most memorable one. I took this in Kona in Hawaii on the manta ray night dive, where we were accompanied by 2 huge mantas doing acrobatics for 30 min. This particular shot was taken at about 3m at the end of the dive as I was ascending and the manta came straight at me, bumping my camera lightly as it went over my head.

Way to hard to pick this year. I'll go with the one that brings back the fun of trying to see what the new little dome would do.

Here is my pick from 2010. It was from Raja Ampat.

It was from a great trip that marked a number of "firsts," our first trip to Raja Ampat, our first liveaboard trip, our first time diving with manta rays. Here is a link to the whole set on Flickr. I think that it was my favorite scuba trip (so far, at least). Raja Ampat and Ambon pics

I love this time of year :D SUch a treat to see people's favourite shots.

This is my favourite photo I have ever taken I think. Shame it is not underwater, not even in a Nauticam housing. June 2010 Lundy Island. Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 APO, Canon 7D.

Brydes whale emerges through sardine baitball, Port St Johns on the Wild Coast of South Africa, July 2010. Truly an unforgettable memory!

Didn't get to do as much cave diving as I had hoped in 2010, but I do like this shot...

wetpixel.jpg Not taken in 2010 but still one of my best shots.
Was taken in Sharm with D90, Hugyfot and 50 mm Sigma.

My best, or should I say most interesting, picture from 2010 has to be this:

IMG_3311_WEB.JPG

Points to anyone who can tell what it is :) and explain how it is formed.

It's water, after something's been dropped into it, right? Is the photo upside-down?

Air bubble trapped inside ice.

We have a winner :) but can you explain the physics behind it's shape? because that's what I find most intriguing.

I can never decide on a 'best' shot, but this one gives me pleasurable memories of a great dive:

The model was the guest relations manager who agreed to be in the water at 6.30am before her shift started. ....... And she is Fit !!!

There's no dignity in diving. Especially as you get older.
